Wooden Rake & Scythe

Alex Rezko recalls;

"We had no electricity, no water, no sewerage. We had cows for milk and butter, we grew our own vegetables, and bread was delivered from Bobeldyk's bakery at Spring Hill. Mum used to pick peas at Worboys' place in Spring Hill for extra money for her kids."

Wooden rake and scythe made by Mikolaj Rezko and used for raking hay for his cow on the family's small farm at Huntley. Many European migrants grew their own food and made improvised tools to save money.
