"We were not keen to go as it was on Saturdays and our friends were playing and we were at school, but what we did learn (the Cyrillic alphabet for one) has remained with us. To this day I can still speak and read and write in Ukrainian. I even belong to the Canberra Ukrainian Church Choir."
