Baker's Rolling Pin

Baker's rolling pin used by Dutchman John Bobeldyk at his Spring Hill bakery. John arrived in Australia in 1951 with his wife Henny and sons Baz and Bill. The family worked long hours in the Spring Hill bakery. Baz and Bill had to chop wood, grease bread tins, weigh the dough and take the bread out of the ovens. Henny would finally go to bed at midnight and then get up at 4am, even when she was pregnant with her younger children Arthur and Hennie.
