Brunhilde Srejic

Brunhilde Srejic and her two little girls, Mirjana and Milena, were sent to the Cowra migrant camp when her husband Rudi was allocated work at the Emmco factory in Orange.

"Rudi shared a tent . outside the Emmco factory in Orange. The winter of 1950 was very severe so they built a little stove from scrap metal outside the tent to cook and warm themselves. Rudi was badly affected by the cold and spent most of the weekends [when visiting Brunhilde and the children] recuperating for the long trip back again on Sunday evening, ready for Monday's work."
